Feeling blue

Hey Guys,
I know it's been a long time since I've last posted but uni and life in general just became way too hectic.
But in the mean time while things 'seem' to be under control, I thought I would make a post

This is a casual outfit I wore to uni a few weeks ago. It was a sunny Friday and the weather really put me in a great mood so I decided to wear blue. Lately, all shades of blue seem to be my go to colour. It makes me feel, calm and at peace and in control.

My "Must-Haves" Make-up Haul.

Hey guys!
So it's been way too long since our last post but life has just been in full gear at the moment for both Tobi and I. Between full time study and work it's difficult to fit much else in. Exams have just rolled up which makes it the last little push before I can begin to enjoy summer.

Anyway, here's a little make-up haul for you guys :)
My mother recently did a trip to Canada and brought home a whole bunch of make-up goodies for my sister & I.
If you live in Australia, you might know how expensive high end brands tend to be compared to in the UK & The States. Sometimes the range & choice can also be limited. So I took her trip overseas as an opportunity to snap up a few 'must have/holy grail' items that were either super expensive or too difficult to get my hands on.

Face and body has quickly become one of my all time favourite foundations. It is a great summer foundation, it's light, sits beautifully on the skin and has a gorgeous velvet finish.
It's shear enough to look natural but has enough coverage to mask imperfections. It's definitely buildable too if you're going for a look that is more perfected.
I got it in the 120 ml/4.0 fluid oz because I got it overseas however you can't get that in Australia. They only sell the 50ml.
I got mine in C1, which is a little light for me currently, now that the sun is here but I just mix it with a little bit of my MAC studio finish foundation in NC 35 and it works perfectly.
This product is perfect for me because I find it so difficult to find a concealer that matches my skin well.  I have a yellow undertone but most yellow toned concealers are far too yellow for my skin, making it frustrating when trying to find a concealer perfect for me. This palette allows me to mix and match and to get a colour that actually suits me. I adore it so much and is definitely a product I cannot live without.
I needed a new red lipstick and I had some trouble deciding whether or not to get "Russian Red" or "Ruby Woo". Both colours are gorgeous and suited my skin but I went with "Russian Red" because of the formula. Though they are both matte lipsticks, I found "Russian Red easier to work with and apply. The formula was a little more smooth and creamy which I liked. I'll definitely still be getting "Ruby Woo" though because it's just such a fabulous colour.

I also needed a lip liner as previously I'd been wearing red lips with no liner (who knows why? Anyone who knows me knows that I swear by lip liner). The difference to any lip colour when you wear liner is enormous and I would always recommend lining your lips before applying lipstick. I chose Redd because it just seemed like the obvious choice. Duh! :)
You can't really call this a blush, it's the perfect combination of blush and bronzer in one product. It gives a pretty flush of rosiness but also adds a gorgeous glow and warmth to the skin. It's currently my favourite blush and it's going to be the perfect in summer.
I'm always hesitant when bronzers have even the slightest amount of shimmer in them but  I am obsessed with this bronzer! It does have a shimmer to it but it's so subtle and adds a glow rather than a shine like a lot of other bronzers. It's almost a pearl quality rather than a shimmer.
It's another product I cannot live without because it takes my everyday look to the next level. Such a great product. I don't know what else to say about this product except that if you have a similar skin tone to mine or have a med-tan complexion, you NEED to get it!
I've never used any of the Naked Palettes so I thought the Basics palette would be a good place to start. I'm not always very adventurous with my eye make-up and tend to stick to my neutrals.
The naked palette has all the essentials I need to do a neutral smoky eye and is small enough to cart around everywhere with me. For me the only negative is that I find "Walk of Shame" and "Foxy" appear almost exactly the same on my skin.
For me the original primer potion is the best eye primer and it's something I always re-purchase. It works with everything and it's the only eye primer I use.

Stay tuned for posts from Tobi and keep an eye out for my skin care routine.
Have a lovely week all!
Lots of Love
